“Change is inevitable.  Growth is optional.” – John C. Maxwell

Economic Development is a not only about bringing in new businesses; it is about sustaining our existing businesses.  In order to accomplish those two goals, the City of Britt collaborates with the Hancock County Economic Development Corporation (HCEDC) and the Britt Industrial Development Corporation (BIDCO).

The City of Britt strives to help bring in new businesses by offering a low interest revolving loan up to $25,000.  For more information on this loan, please contact Shell Anderson at city hall 641-843-4433 or by email.

The partnership with HCEDC allows us to give new and existing businesses avenues to explore with funding on start up costs or improvements.  HCEDC also focuses on how to bring in and retain good employees for our businesses.  For more information on HCEDC, visit their website or contact the executive director, Jill Kramer, at 641-923-9921 or by email director@hancockcountyiowa.com.
