Ryan Arndorfer


Ryan is a Britt native and a 2001 graduate of West Hancock High School.  He was elected Mayor in November of 2015.  Arndorfer received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters in International Marketing from Boston University.

Ryan is the Business Manager for Pritchard Auto and serves on several community boards including; Hancock County Economic Development and the Britt Hobo Days Association.

Ryan's current term as Mayor will expire in December of 2022.

Chad Luecht
Council person

The middle of three children, Chad grew up in Minnesota but now calls Britt “home”. His desire to be part of the community and to assist in making Britt thrive is what led him to his service on City Council.

Luecht enjoys his time working outside; whether it be for business or pleasure. When asked if he could instantly pick up a skill what would it be, he stated, "It would be to speak any language on Earth so he could talk to anyone - anywhere".

Chad’s current term will expire on December of 2021.

Curt Gast
Council person

Curt's service on the council started in January 2008. He is employed as Facilities Director for Hancock County Health System.

Curt's current term on the council will expire in December of 2024.

Stacy Swenson
Council person


Stacy has embraced her new home of Britt and began her service on the council in November 2017.

She is employed as a Customer Service Representative with Central Financial Group out of the Britt and Kanawha offices. She also serves on the HCLC board. Outside of work she stays busy with her husband, Tyler, and daughter Harper, as they enjoying spending time outside, golfing, swimming, and playing with their black lab, Trudy.

Stacy's current term on the council will expire in December of 2024


Paul Verbrugge
Council Person

Paul began his service on the council in April of 2016.  He is employed as a driver for Five Star Co-op.  Paul has been active on the West Hancock School Board and with the Britt Christian Reformed Church Council.

His wife, Ruth, is an employee of the West Hancock Community School District.  He has three daugthers - Laura, Nichole, and Amanda;  all three are graduates of WHHS.
