Ryan ArndorferRyan Arndorfer


Ryan is a Britt native and a 2001 graduate of West Hancock High School.  He was elected Mayor in November of 2015.  Arndorfer received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a Masters in International Marketing from Boston University.

Ryan is the Marketing Officer for MBT Bank and serves on several national and community boards including; The Insurance Marketing & Communications Association, Hancock County Economic Development, and The Britt Hobo Days Association.

Ryan's current term as Mayor will expire in December of 2017.

Council person

Curt's service on the council started in January 2008. He is employed as Facilities Director for Hancock County Health System.

Curt's current term on the council will expire in December of 2019.

Mike is in his 19th year on the City Council.  He is a lifelong resident of Britt and is married to his wifre, Rhonda.  Together, they have two children, Zac and Abby, and three grandchildren, Brody, Bo, and Ivy.

Mike's current term on the council will expire in December of 2017.

Bryan AitchisonBryan Aitchison

Bryan is a native of Britt and graduated from West Hancock High School in 1993.  He is a Production Supervisor of Specialty Vehicles with Winnebago Industries in Forest City, IA.  Bryan has previously held a council seat for 5 + years within the City of Britt.

He and his wife Pam have three children: Leah, Isabelle, and Sophie.  Pam is a 1st grade teacher at West Hancock and all three kids attend WHSD as well.  Bryan enjoys spending time outside, running, golf, and helping others.

Bryan's current term on the council will expire in December of 2019.

Paul Verbrugge
Council Person

Paul began his service on the council in April of 2016.  He is employed as a driver for Five Star Co-op.  Paul has been active on the West Hancock School Board and with the Britt Christian Reformed Church Council.

His wife, Ruth, is an employee of the West Hancock Community School District.  He has three daugthers - Laura, Nichole, and Amanda;  all three are graduates of WHHS.
